The Mother’s Group

This group runs every Monday in Bankstown and helps new migrant mothers feel less isolated.  We are able to provide information on the settlement process and assistance with community services. The Mother’s Group is run in partnership with the Asian Women’s Network. Contact Us for more info.


Multicultural Social Support Group

Multicultural Social Support GroupThis group runs every Monday in Ashfield during school terms.  We offer information sessions on the settlement process, and other assistance with community services.

We aim to get new migrants more involved in their community, and feel less isolated. Workshops include: Recycling, De-cluttering, Centrelink information, Oral Health, Police Information, Arts and Craft and Cooking Workshops.

Arabic Lady

 

Arabic Family Support Women’s Group

The group is coordinated by an Arabic speaking worker, and women participate in group activities such as sewing and craft. We also help women to gain new skills which may help them find employment at a later time. Contact Boshra at 9789 3744.

 

English Conversation Club for Beginners

ConversationsThis is a club for women who are feeling isolated and wish to improve their conversational English skills. Come join us for a chat at 10am on Mondays at the Lakemba Hub next to the Library, corner of Boulevarde and Croydon Street, Lakemba.

Fun Time and Make Friends

Fun time and make friendsThis group offers recreational activities such as jewellery making and drawing for new Intensive English Centre students once a week on Tuesdays. In partnership with Marrickville Intensive English Centre. 


Come along to Room 106 at lunch time on Tuesdays and make new friends.

Join in the fun and make jewellery, draw, play chess, watch a movie and ask Litsa any questions you have.

Women's Corner Cafe

Come spend some time with women from your local area. You can use free computer, printer and internet. Metro Assist can help you with any issues you may have. This is a safe space for good conversation and relaxation. Tea and coffee will be available.

This group gives the opportunity for members of the Chinese community to come together in a friendly environment. Held once a week for 3.5 hours. Contact Us for more info.
